You know that I'll be loving you, just like a patchwork quilt.

You gotta love the days when something as simple as a quilt being hung up on chairs to dry acts as a whole day of entertainment for the kids. Thanks to their dad, the kids had a "really cool fort to play in." Alli and Drew are in the fort as Jeremy tries to join in on the fun.

But we are best friends...right?

Alli and Drew were watching TV with their arms around each other. These moments are too few and far between, so I had to hurry up and capture it before they realized what they were doing! (For the record: most of the time they get along and play really well together. I just had to make this picture moment seem more dramatic!) Please feel free to ignore the mac and cheese all over their faces and the fact that they are STILL in their pjs after lunch!

And while Alli and Drew were doing that, this is what Jeremy was doing. Poor kid! He fell asleep in his chair after lunch.

At the beach, you'll find them there, in the sun and salty air.

We went to Bear Lake for 4th of July Weekend. I grew up going there every summer, so it holds a special place in my heart! We had lots of fun playing at the beach and playing games in the cabin. We didn't want the trip to end so we brought a little of the beach home with us in the form of sand all in the car and some of us even brought some home in our tummies... namely Jeremy. He took one look at the sand and said, "Wow! look at all this yummy food I can eat!" (shown below)

Aunt Kathryn and Chad helped Allison & Andrew make fun decorative sand castles with motes.

Sam had fun digging enormous holes and then putting his legs in them to make him magically appear as a little person.

While all the fun was going on, Jeremy decided he was tired and full of eating sand and feel asleep on me. So I got to just sit and watch everyone have fun!

My Grandma even let the kids take these precious 20 year old chairs down to the beach. I used them when I was a kid and there were like 15 of them... now there is sadly only like 2.



When my mom came down to the beach with lunch, she watched Jeremy while the rest of us played some Frisbee (We tried to teach Kathryn how to throw a Frisbee straight but unfortunately, we all failed.) and my dad even got in a little catnap (and it was his birthday too!) Happy Birthday, Dad!

Here's some pictures of my patriotic triplets! (This is the second year in a row they have worn these overalls 4th of July. My poor kids! Good thing I bought them big, so I can use them for the third time next year! haha) Alli and Drew are holding their Light Swords that they got from the carnival/fireworks show the night before, over at the Eaglewood Golf Course just down the street. They always do their fireworks show on the 3rd of July, so it's really nice that it leaves us to do something else on the 4th with family and friends.
Their "really cool light swords" were broken later on that day.
