Keepin It Gangsta!

This adds new meaning to low-riding and sagging your pants... (by the way, I can't stand it when teen boys' pants are so low you can see almost all of their boxers... hate it especially when my brother does it... Pull your freakin' pants up!)

Honey, I'm a Big Boy now

Anticipating the arrival of our new little one, we noticed all our upstairs bedrooms are occupied. Our kids are too young and scared to be in the basement bedroom, so we have to start doubling up on bedrooms.
I shared a room growing up with my sister and loved it. I like to think it is very helpful in preparation for college roommates and marriage to share rooms when you are young.
Anyhow, so we were on the lookout for Jeremy and Drew's new beds. (We decided on bunk beds and just separate them into twins until they are old enough to not do normal toddler things like "see if we can jump from the top bunk and out the window onto the ground without breaking any bones.") We found these really nice, inexpensive solid pine bunk beds from Wal-mart for only $189! They look so nice in the room I love them. They were a steal at that price, too! (Most nice ones are at least $300.)
After we got the beds set up and put his new Target Bedding on, we started putting Jeremy in his "big boy" bed for naptimes with Drew in his bed. And now all they do is play.... no more naps. This is not good. Anyone has any ideas on how to make a 16-month old sleep with a 3 year old? I would love any suggestions! I need to get them sleeping before baby#4 keeps us up all night.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

We went to the free Pottery Barn Kids Star Wars Promo. We had to stand in line for about an hour but it was worth it. They had Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper and a Jedi dressed up. Vader was so cool, he even had the voice changer thing. When he shook Drew's hand he said, "Greetings, younling. I sense the force is strong with you, Andrew." It was hilarious to see Drew's face and even funnier to see Jeremy's face. As you can tell from the pictures: Jeremy got one look at Darth Vader,
and ran away crying all in a matter of seconds.
Jeremy is now off hiding somewhere safe.

But we are best friends...right?

Alli and Drew were watching TV with their arms around each other. These moments are too few and far between, so I had to hurry up and capture it before they realized what they were doing! (For the record: most of the time they get along and play really well together. I just had to make this picture moment seem more dramatic!) Please feel free to ignore the mac and cheese all over their faces and the fact that they are STILL in their pjs after lunch!
And while Alli and Drew were doing that, this is what Jeremy was doing. Poor kid! He fell asleep in his chair after lunch.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Jeremy dear!

We had a fun party for Jeremy's First Birthday! We even had 3 sets of his great grandparents there! As all of our kids were, he was a little bit apprehensive about the cake and candles. (I keep waiting for that one kid to just grab the whole cake and stuff it in their mouths. Maybe next year!) Some of his favorite presents were: a big truck with little mini megablocks cars that fit inside, musical instruments, and a lawn mower.

Don't ask me why, I'm just a hairy guy

Jeremy had his first haircut today. Here are the before and after shots. We couldn't wait any longer. He was starting to look like Shaggy from Scooby-doo. We had to bribe him with a sucker. I don't know how the lady even cut his hair. He was moving all over the place. I was amazed at how good of a job she did!

O-R-E-O

I don't know how this baby ended up with an Oreo cookie, but I can hear someone screaming, "Chad and Rachel have failed as parents!" He enjoyed every bite, and somehow seemed to get it on every possible inch of the table he could reach. In our defense, Jeremy turns one in just 9 days, so then he won't be a baby anymore. (We almost made it!)

Once there was a Snowman

We build a snowman today. It was fun because it stuck
together like it did back in Kansas City. You start with a little snowball and just roll it and the snow just starts to pack on itself. It's so much fun rolling big snowballs all over the yard.

Also, it was Jeremy's 18 month birthday today! Thought this was a cute picture of him that Chad took.

Doctor, Doctor! Give me the news!

Jeremy turned 6 months old a week or so ago and we just barely had his doctor's appt today; so, I thought I would post his stats for the whole world to see how big he's getting!

Height: 28 1/8 inches (90-95%)
Weight: 17 lbs. 4 oz. (50%)
Head Circumference: 43.7 cm (45%)

I'll have to look up how that compares to Drew and Alli later.

Nothing you can do can take me away from My Guy!

Jeremy turned 5 months old today! I can't believe it. It's gone by way too fast. I need to take more pictures of him. He's so cute. Jeremy has had one busy month. He grabs toys with his hands now. He found his feet on September 4th. He rolled over on September 7th (from tummy to back). He started to really talk and babble on September 25th. Jeremy is definately the most demanding baby I have had. He knows what he wants that's for sure. He hates loud noise and he hates being alone. So that is tremendously difficult to accomplish with Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee as his siblings. We love him and we can't imagine our lives without him. We love you Jeremy!
