Bear Lake Fun!

We went to Bear Lake and had a blast playing with cousins, building sandcastles, riding fourwheelers, and watching fireworks! I'm so glad that my kids will be able to have the same fun memories of spending summer vacations at Bear Lake. It was one of my favorite places as a kid and I hope it will be for my kids too!

Family Reunion 2009

Park City was the location for one of our Family Reunions this year. It was filled with lots of pool time, alpine slide runs, outlet shopping galore, pizza partys, major game playing, and fun relay races. Here's a few pictures of the fun times!

You walked with me, footprints in the sand...

Our Hunter Family Reunion was at Newport Beach, CA (same as last year) and we were so happy to be able to go this year! We had lots of fun at the beach, shopping, spending time with the cousins, Sea World, etc.
The family at Sea World. The kids LOVED it! I'm so glad we decided to go there instead of Disneyland. (We will have to go to Disneyland when it's not quite so crowded and our kids are a little older to enjoy it more. Plus I wouldn't have been able to go on any rides, and that's not fair! LOL) We got to see all the cool shows at Sea World -Shamu, Dolphins, Sea Otters and Walruses They even had a few rides in the Sesame Street Playland Area that were perfect size for the kids to go on!
Drew & Alli had fun with the cousins digging holes & making sand castles.
We also had fun playing in the ocean waves!
The kids had a blast feeling the ocean for the first time. We looked for seashells, had a luau on the beach, and I even did the limbo and won 1st prize in the pregnant ladies catergory- of course I had no competition, so not really an accomplishment. (I am so sorry there was NO picture of that. I don't know HOW that happened!)

At the beach, you'll find them there, in the sun and salty air.

We went to Bear Lake for 4th of July Weekend. I grew up going there every summer, so it holds a special place in my heart! We had lots of fun playing at the beach and playing games in the cabin. We didn't want the trip to end so we brought a little of the beach home with us in the form of sand all in the car and some of us even brought some home in our tummies... namely Jeremy. He took one look at the sand and said, "Wow! look at all this yummy food I can eat!" (shown below)

Aunt Kathryn and Chad helped Allison & Andrew make fun decorative sand castles with motes.

Sam had fun digging enormous holes and then putting his legs in them to make him magically appear as a little person.

While all the fun was going on, Jeremy decided he was tired and full of eating sand and feel asleep on me. So I got to just sit and watch everyone have fun!

My Grandma even let the kids take these precious 20 year old chairs down to the beach. I used them when I was a kid and there were like 15 of them... now there is sadly only like 2.

When my mom came down to the beach with lunch, she watched Jeremy while the rest of us played some Frisbee (We tried to teach Kathryn how to throw a Frisbee straight but unfortunately, we all failed.) and my dad even got in a little catnap (and it was his birthday too!) Happy Birthday, Dad!

Oh, Mexico... I guess I'll have to go now.

For our 7th Wedding Anniversary trip, Chad and I went to Cancun, Mexico! It was a blast! We decided to go last minute because I am expecting another little one end of September. Chad wanted to take me somewhere special on my 30th Birthday in August, but I would be too far pregnant to be able to fly anywhere, so we found a great deal for a last minute trip to Cancun and took it!

We stayed at an All-inclusive Resort called Hotel Riu Caribe and it was just as beautiful as it looked. They had great food, beautiful beach, and fun cool pools. I was still in the nauseous stage of the pregnancy, so I was little worried about the food. It turned out to be the best choice we ever made to get the All-Inclusive Food though cause as long as I kept my tummy full, I didn't feel sick at all. (And you know how much a pregnant lady can eat!)

We just took it easy our first day there and we relaxed at the beautiful beach and the pool and just hung around and had fun at the resort. Chad took a mini scuba diving course. (I didn't want to do it - cause of the baby, blah blah blah - so i just watched.) That night we ate at the fancy Mexican restaurant. Our room was exactly how it looked in the pictures - comfy and nice. We had a beautiful view of Cancun from our balcony.

The next day, we got up early to watch the sunrise out on our balcony. Too bad our camera couldn't really pick it up. Then we were on the road to Chichen Itza for the day tour. It was kind of a long drive for me on the bus. (wasn't really air conditioned and the bumping around made me sick!) But when we finally got there, it was definitely worth it. One of the "new" 7 Wonders of the World!
Who gets to see those everyday? We bought all of our cool souvenirs from the locals there. Then returned home for a romantic dinner at the Japanese restaurant.

What Happens in Vegas...appears on my blog

For Labor Day weekend, we took a trip to Las Vegas. It was my first time visiting and we had a fun time exploring all the casinos and extravagent shopping malls. We saw the Treasure Island pirate ships, Circus Circus performers, Caesar's Palace moving statues, and Hilton's Star Trek experience. We were crazy taking all three kids but luckily Chad's mom, Jolene, was able to join us and help us out a ton! She even watched the kids both nights so Chad and I could go out site-seeing together.

Here we are at the Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage:
The White Tiger Habitat was fun and the kids loved seeing tigers all up-close.

Here's a cute picture of Alli and Chad in front of the gondolas at the Venetian.

Here's Jolene, the kids and I in front of the Mirage.
